The National Association of Home Builders’ Research Center conducted its annual Consumer Practice Survey last year to find out some numbers on the popular kitchen remodeling trends. Shockingly, despite the dismal condition of the economy, homeowners continued to spend top-dollar for their top-notch kitchens. From 2005, the percentage of people choosing laminate countertops fell almost 20 percent, yet granite’s installation rate grew 10 percent making it the most popular material in kitchen remodels. Ceramic tile use dropped to only 4 percent, while quartz remained an afterthought in most homes, only holding 6 percent of the market share. A Certified Graduate Remodeler is a standout in the crowded marketplace of construction. With this professional title, remodelers guarantee to operate with an emphasis on business management skills, upholding a reputation as an industry leader.
